At this point I’ve had my 2017 Boostang for just under three weeks and just over 600 miles. So far it’s completely lived up to expectations and is leaps and bounds more fun than my former Focus. This is Oppo, fun is something we look for in cars...

I’ve made exactly one modification to it so far, I replaced the somewhat lame shift knob with a much better feeling ball shifter bought from the bay of E.

Performance has been good and I’m itching to start making some more performance oriented modifications. I have a Cobb Access Port and high flow drop in filter ready to go, and am just waiting for the first thousand miles before plugging it in and upping the power!

The only downside so far happened this morning when I rubbed a sharp curb with the driver’s side front wheel...

Ouch, that hurts on the wheel. Downside of black wheels is they show those marks so much more. My local Discount Tire has a wheel refinishing guy they call in, usually charges something like $150/wheel. Something to think about.

Probably at some point I’ll get it refinished, but I’ll more likely hit it with some black touch up paint to just make it less obvious in the short term.

Always loved mustangs and that blue is beautiful. Glad to hear the turbo charged version is just as fun.
